Vic: Council officers move in on Camp Sovereignty
MELBOURNE, April 13 AAP - Council trucks arrived at an Aboriginal protest camp in Melbourne's
King's Domain two hours ahead of a 2pm (AEST) deadline for it to be disbanded.
The two trucks with trailers arrived at midday and a number of council workers were also on site.
A Melbourne City Council ranger is holding talks with members of the protest group
Black GST (genocide, sovereignty, treaty).
The group must remove caravans and tents from the campsite by 2pm today to comply with
a council order.
Two tents have been voluntarily removed so far this morning but at least a dozen more remained.
